My wife, daughter, and I were heading home after a weekend in VA and DC. Our stomachs were growling and we needed food badly (Gauntlet video game reference, sorry) and we didn't want fast food. Turning off Rt. 83 we found here. Happy dance. My wife and daughter split a grilled chicken Caesar wrap and they were glad they did. We never saw a wrap so full! I had a cheeseburger and fries. The food was at our table quickly, hot, and flavorful. None of us left hungry. We now have a place to stop when we are in area.

I love this place!! Every single time I come here, they are welcoming, courteous and warm. The food is great. The portions are generous and the service is awesome!

I went there for the first time a week ago and honestly wasn't expecting much. With that said, I'm glad I didn't have high expectations because the food was awful. I ordered the French toast and ended up not eating half of it because it was charred and so burnt. How is that edible? Plates were also extremely old and dirty and I didn't feel comfortable eating off of them. Will probably never ever be back.

This place has always been so good! I remember coming here a lot with my friends after school! I came back to visit some friends and it was a little bit more expensive then I remembered but the food is still delicious!

I have been a regular customer of the Nautilus Diner since it opened, but after tonight I'll never be back. My husband and I stopped in tonight at 1am after a late movie because I wanted some coffee. I could've stopped at 7-Eleven, but I wanted to stay out a bit and enjoy some conversation. My husband didn't want any because coffee keeps him awake. The waitress returned with my coffee and a message from the manager that there was a minimum $2 purchase per person and my husband would have to order something. For a moment, I honestly thought she was kidding, then she looked embarrassed and there was just awkwardness. Had she not already had the coffee in hand, I would've gotten up and walked out. From that point on, we were just annoyed to be there. If it was a busy dinner hour, I might understand, but it was one in the morning and we were the only customers in the whole place. These people know how often I go there; If this is how they treat a regular customer, I'll spend my money elsewhere. If the idiot manager is reading this, congratulations - you just lost a lot more than $2. JERK.

Most disappointing diner experience In years. Are there with my family and a friend and every dish was bland and the portions were undersized. I've never left a diner hungry before! We all had breakfast dishes. The corned beef hash was almost flavorless, the hash browns were completely flavorless, and the Coffee (when I could get it) was just warm. It wasn't super busy so we were seated quickly, but I couldn't get the waitresses attention to get concerns or refills taken care of. To be fair, the food wasn't bad it just wasn't good and pricing for the portion size made me wish I had gone to the chain down the street.

If i wanted to spend $50 for two meals..... I WOULDNT EAT HERE. OVERPRICED. rude and this place stank of old people. If you are under the age of 80 dont eat here. you and your wallet will thank me.

This is exactly what you expect when you go to a dinner. A vast menu with an average taste. The service is almost always on point, making for a consistent level of experience. I would go with friends to have a fun meal.

Food is fairly good and what I expected. Service was decent but a little slow. Good portions and good prices. They are a great for late-night food. I've been several times and will keep going back.

Maybe I just came on an off night? Two of my buddies swear by this place and can fairly be called regulars. I dropped in with them on a recent Saturday night. The place wasn't hoppin', yet it took probably 2-3 minutes before we were even acknowledged by one of the numerous individuals on staff and taken to a table. Actually, that's not exactly true -- we were acknowledged in the form of being stared at without even a "Hello!" or "Be with you in a minute!" Mad awkward. I ordered the Maryland crab soup and was really underwhelmed -- mushy everything. The portion was large and the price fair, though. My one friend ordered a tuna melt; they brought him a chicken one, but the waiter apologized and promptly corrected the mistake. He enjoyed his (correct) meal and our other friend devoured his grilled cheese platter. Our waiter was pretty absent even though we'd been sitting with empty plates for a while and, again, the restaurant wasn't busy. Not sure where he disappeared to, because we didn't see him anywhere in the restaurant for probably 15-20 minutes. The thing that bothered me most, though, was the very strong smell of what I would call dirty cleaning water. It's really, really difficult to enjoy sitting somewhere, let alone eating, with a strong stench like that in the background. It was almost nauseating. Would I go back? Doubtful -- Towson Diner isn't a far trip away, and I'd rather put up with the undergrad horde than risk replicating my experience here. I think I'll leave any future trips to Nautilus to my buddies.

Ate here this evening - food was ok, nothing special but service was a joke. Maybe it was the waiters first night/ but what an idiot or maybe it's the management who are idiots for letting him wait on their tables. I order one of the grilled chicken sandwiches which comes with fries. I ask if instead of fries if I can get a side salad instead. He looks at me like I'm crazy and explains he doesn't think so. I tell him to go ask the mgr and he comes back and tells me there would be an up charge. Fine - how much is the up charge? He doesn't know. He goes back to find out and comes back and says a salad is not possible unless I order a whole salad for the $7-8 specialty salads. Your sandwich comes with lettuce and tomato though! Cmon man - it shouldn't be this difficult should it?!?

Maybe today was a generally bad day for the staff. Many regular servers seemed to be MIA. The servers that were there were bickering rather loudly. The well done omelette was closer to burnt. Ordered wheat toast, received white. Fried potatoes were unseasoned and looked like they'd been sitting out all day (gray). Orange juice was watery. 1st cup of coffee came out half full. Watched the cashier/bartender(?) handle a credit card and pen from a woman who'd just been sneezing and wiping her nose with the back of her hand, and then fix someone a drink and use her unwashed hands to put a lime wedge in. At least our young server was very friendly. All this, coupled with the creeping menu prices and the nickel & dime-ing for lateral adjustments, gives me reason to start looking for a new regular breakfast place.

Don't order anything Italian or complex. Stick with burger fries chicken tenders wraps sandwiches etc. They have no flavor on the things that need flavor. Spaghetti was something my dog would have stuck her nose up to. Staff is nice but time waiting sometimes is long if crowded. Generally ok if you stick to the basics. Our waitress Krystal (spelling?) was very pleasant and apologetic and offered us other options but we declined.

  • Ayaka N.

They serve the best crab cake in Baltimore! I've tried numerous famous crab cakes in Baltimore, but nothing comes close to this one! $27 platter comes with 2 JUMBO crab cakes, choice of salad or soup, and 2 sides of your choice.

Food was okay. Not fantastic. They did not have any sort of birthday discount or desert which was pretty disappointing.

First timer at Nautilus Diner and although I didn't really get the full experience of dining here, I was quite impressed. Came here for a first date last Friday at 10PM. Probably sounds like a weird first date but I think it was actually quite perfect.. sort of a 50's limited edition/vintage date. Plus you'd be surprised to know that we weren't the only ones at the diner so late, the place was practically "hoppin". Anyways... immediately upon walking in, it was like Greek heaven. Dessert case in my face! This girl has a sweet tooth to the max, so resisting my urge to buy everything in the case was incredibly difficult. I mean, how do you turn down a cannoli or piece of chocolate cake that is literally taunting you from your immediate arrival? They do it on purpose, so don't say I didn't forewarn you. Wound up ordering a bowl of fruit salad to fulfill my need and sudden urge for "sweets" and surprisingly the fruit was fresh. From a typrical diner I would expect a distasteful bowl of mushy fruit but this fruit was well rounded with strawberries, graphes, pineapple, cantaloupe and more. So here I am at Nautilus, sitting in a booth for three hours having gnarly conversation with this amazing guy; yet cant seem to pull my mind from the waiter. When you take up someone's table for quite a few hours, without ordering any food its kind of a bummer for them. However the server was super chill and even kept coming back to the table to check on us. Not once in those 3 hours did I feel pestered to leave. So I left him a hefty tip, on what was probably less than a $10 check. But hey, when you're deserving.. you're deserving. Essentially first dates if you let them can be a daunting task, forced with the pressure of making a good first impression and Nautilus provided an atmosphere that was more than inviting. Good food, good people and well.. good chemistry. Who knows, maybe if the date went well, this guy will invite me back for actual food :) Stay Tuned...

Yesterday, my husband and I decided to stop in for a quick meal before shopping. Me being 8 months pregnant was starving, so I couldn't wait to eat. The woman that greeted us at the door was very nice, however after we were seated, we were totally ignored by both waitresses that were handling our section. We had enough time to read the vast menu and decide on what we wanted still without any waitress greeting us or taking out drink order. After watching another couple get seated and immediately waited on, my husband and I simultaneously got up from our table on made our way to the exit. On the way out, I notified the woman who initially greeted us and she was very concerned and asked that we stay but we declined. I don't know what was up our waitresses a__ but I have a feeling the color of our skin had something to do with it. It's unfortunate we still have to put up with stuff like this. I was hoping to find another eating spot but this one has been taken off my list forever. I'll stick with Towson Diner.

Really enjoy the Nautilus Diner. To be sure, when it first opened several years back the meals weren't always consistent. I will note, however, that the service has always been pretty good. Recently returned a few times after having moved to another state for a few years, The quality of dishes and cooking definitely seems to have improved greatly. It is certainly now on par with the only other 1 or 2 'legit' diners in the area. It would be nice if they developed and showcase some actual homemade specialties. For example, corned beef hash, a diner staple, seems to be 'not' homemade and quite obviously so. I also think the Nautilus would benefit from upping it's game when it comes to its soup selection. In our experience, it's been pretty bland and basic - One would think the Nautilus has the opportunity to capitalize on the 'area' and develop a great seafood or crab chowder - or even something like a really good split pea (I don't think I've ever had a remarkably good split pea anywhere in the Metro Baltimore/DC area...). The Nautilus may not yet be in the same league as some of the very best diners in some other locales - say for instance NJ or NY or Philly - but the good news is it certainly seems to be on its way.

Service is very good. Waiters are very nice and take you order quickly. The food is a little dry but still pretty good an very child child friendly. I might come back.

I really enjoy getting breakfast here. They have every breakfast item you can think of. I like to cook, but when I am feeling lazy, my husband and I can always count on Nautilus for a good breakfast.

I believe we ventured to Towson diner and discovered a wait of 40 minutes and decided to be adventurous and go to Nautilus as we had passed by it on many occasions. Upon approach, I yelped it and was hesitant. We went in and were immediately greeted and seated. I ordered some coffee and water and the husband got some tea. The coffee was not that good, it was weak. All else was just fine. The atmosphere reflects of an old school diner. It was rather crowded and I took it to be a good sign. Boy was I wrong. Now my husband got the chocolate chip pancakes which he loved. I ordered eggs benedict and ate almost none of it. Part of eating food is eating with your eyes and I looked at my food, took a bite and said, "This is what eggs benedict would look like and taste like at Alcatraz if they ever served it." Considering I was NOT trying to be a smart a$$, this was harsh. My taste buds just threw that sentence out there and it has stuck. I cannot believe the food was served in old, almost dirty looking dishes and it felt cold. I do not plan to return.

This local diner has the best French toast and sausages! They have an extensive menu with lots to choose from. Hey have great breakfast foods and are open 24/7. The wait staff is usually friendly, but it can be a gamble. They also have really good waffle fries!

I have been going to conventions in Timonium for years, and only recently discovered the Nautilus Diner. It is easy to find on York Road and located conveniently near many nearby hotels. The service has always been prompt, and the menu is varied, with all the staples you expect from a Greek diner, including the large pastry case when you walk in. They are a diner, so the food is exactly what you expect, but they get extra points for the great service and being the only 24-hour place in the area.

Went there for dessert on 5/31 which we like to do Saturday nights. They claim they are fresh made. Been there before and generally no problems. After we were seated, we told the waiter we wanted dessert. I could see by the look on his face he wasn't happy. He brought our drinks and food and disappeared. Later he left the check and said pay up front, never asking if we wanted anything else. I had carrot cake and the bottom was dry and it seemed like it was frozen and thawed. The icing had an odd taste like it was sour. I went and told the manager and you would have thought I tried to kill her. Never got an apology or I'm sorry or anything. I paid for it and left and will never return. The foreign owners get insulted if you tell them about their food.

Typical diner fare - I like the greek omelet. My daughter likes the kid's pancakes. The staff are really nice. This is a very family friendly restaurant. The coffee isn't that good. This place used to be a favorite for breakfast in Timonium until First Watch opened up. First Watch is my new fave.

First and last time. Entered the diner and was seated by a host who never looked at either of us directly. Though I smiled upon entrance with greetings and thank yous. Was waited on by a waiter who also never once looked at us directly. Neither of their eyes would meet mine much as I tried. Food was fair to awful. Check-out was the worst! The cashier was rude...couldn't get my debit card to work because she was zipping it through the machine and when I suggested she go slower she snapped that this is NOT the reason. So I asked her to punch in the numbers and she snapped back that people were waiting in line. She finally got it to go through after snide remarks and arrogant attitude. Sometimes you have to give a place a second chance...but when all three representatives of this establishment lack in social graces and the food was overpriced and not very good, well...sometimes once is quite enough.

Stopped by this place for breakfast. Not bad for what I usually get, corn beef hash. The service was good enough to get you through the day, no crazy conversations, just asked typical questions like "how was your day?" and "do you want more coffee?". Let's just say I got more than I bargained for on coffee and could not stop moving.

Typical Greek diner with ridiculously huge menu. I had the moussaka and a dinner salad. ($13.99) Not cheap, but the Moussaka was Excellent. It tasted homemade. I also liked the greek dressing. Would have considered 4 stars, but the rolls were non-descript and stale.

I never walk into diners with high expectations but this place was different. We were seated right away and our food came out quickly. I had a deluxe burger which came with fries, slaw, onion rings and fries. All for under $10, you can't beat that! My friend had the gyro which was huge and he enjoyed it. This place serves alcohol and is open 24/7...I do wish I lived a little bit closer. All in all I can't wait to go back!

This place sucks...the life out of you. Nautilus is the black hole of diners. On the surface, it's everything you love - the shiny steel decor, the case of ginormous desserts, the uniformed waitstaff and the seemingly endless menu. But upon closer inspection, er...rather a few dining experiences, it crashes and burns. No one that works there ever cracks a smile; and the fact that the owner stands at the front of the restaurants and scowls over the dining room is a bit unsettling. In theory, the food sounds incredible but lacks in execution. Honestly, their breakfast is better than their non-breakfast food and even that is disappointing. Here's a few "highlights" from our past meals: - French fries with melted cheese were a handful of (previously frozen) seasoned waffle fries with rubbery shredded mozzarella cheese, all for the bargain price of $4.89! - Breakfast potatoes - they couldn't decide if they wanted them to be scallop sliced or hash, so they went with a mixture of both with a little paprika for color but no other seasoning. - Their pattie melt is the only one I've ever had that came soaked in its own juices. I'm not quite sure if it was too much butter on the bread or too much fat content in the meat, but either way, I'm scarred for life. In hindsight, I think we've only made it here so many times because it's the most conveniently located diner. However, there are far too many better places out there to dine - so I don't suggest wasting a meal here.

It's 24*7 which is its best part. Secondly, I was under the impression that Diners dont serve Alcohol but this one had a full bar. The place is big, clean and lot of attendants. The part which sucked the most was that I was feeling to eat hash brown and they told me that they dont serve that which I found unbelievable. The poached eggs were good and the coffee just right.

    (3)
  • Kara W.

Breakfast 24-7! Huge typical diner menu, nice prices, friendly staff, fast service, massive dessert display... Awesome pancakes, crispy bacon, tasty hash browns, and French toast made with Challah The best diner experience that I have had in a long time.

  • Keith C.

I ordered onion soup and a shrimp salad melt. The onion soup had parmesan cheese instead of gruyere cheese even though it was served in a crock correctly. The shrimp salad melt was disgusting! The shrimp salad was placed on a soggy English muffin and heated, then 2 slices of cold American cheese where placed on top. Also, the waitress was odd by bringing the side of slaw and pickle before even the soup. Also, she placed all food on the other side of the table instead of my side of the table (keep in mind, I was wearing a suit and tie, very presentable. So, nothing yucky, no reason for the service). This definitely will be the last time I come here.

  • Tamala G.

The food is decent with lots of choices and the waitstaff is usually friendly. However, the lady at the front where you pay has the nastiest attitude, she is just rude. I don't know if she is related to the owner but she kills the dining experience. I have been 3 times and she has been equally rude each time. . I will spend my money some place else.

  • Lauren S.

A group of us came here at 3:30am on a Friday night. I skipped the breakfast foods and got my go to diner food: grilled cheese. It was good and everything I hopes and imagined it would be. My friends liked their food. The waitress was surprisingly friendly (something I'm not used to getting at 3:30am), and the food came out quick. Very solid diner.

    (3)
  • Aryn F.

Nautilus is....ok. Just don't go for breakfast and definitely don't order eggs. Its too great a disappointment and why bother with bad eggs? Especially when there are so many other diners to choose from. Where Nautilus really shines is when you're just too hungry to know what it is you really want. There are plenty of choices. Just don't expect anything great.

    (2)
  • An Z.

Not a good experience. Waitress not very attentive and food was very bland. Tried to create taste with salt, pepper, Tabasco, butter, syrup (anything!!!). They don't have real maple syrup. Found partial ham omelet in my potatoes (I'm vegetarian!). They comped it, but the owner didn't even come over to apologize like you might expect. Went for brunch ordered breakfast potatoes, banana walnut Pancakes & friend had Reuben: wasn't anything special.

Get your sugar fix, late night munchies, and booze all in one spot. I left a couple lame bars one night in search for a decent desert and I found the feakin Mecca of delicious nonsense. As I walked in I was welcomed by a huge glass display of everything my brain could comprehend as sweet selections. I immediately grabbed a seat with my friends, ordered a Macaroon, some custard thing and a slice of cake then proceeded to annihilate the table's contents. I'm surprised the napkins didn't get eaten. The deserts were awesome and the macaroon still haunts my sugar crazes because I live far away and can't satisfy it. That's not all they had; they had a menu that would take an hour to read and deliberate over. If it's considered American cuisine, they probably have it in some form or another. Not to mention they had BOOZE! I saw this table sharing a bootle of Barefoot wine and wondered why the locals could BYOB some crappy wine until I read the menu. It's there and many other things to knock you down and party out. When I got to my table it came complete with a small jukebox. I rocked out to some Elvis Presley and other new music that made my experience complete. The staff was nice and right on time for everything. I couldn't ask for more. Holy smokes, I shouldn't have even bothered with the bars and just got all my fixes in one place.

The last time I was there, the waitress confessed to being so hung over that she was confused. Yeah, she was still lit. Forgot to take our order, when reminded, had to be told over and over, what we wanted to order. When the food came out, she couldn't remember, even with her notes, who ordered what. It was actually pretty comical. Kinda like breakfast theater.

  • Kathy M.

Let me start off by saying, I haven't had their breakfast, and I hear that's what they're known for. I went on a Friday night (with high expectations) and ordered the stuffed shrimp and fish entree with a brownie sundae at the end. The fish was overcooked and the rest of the meal was just okay, including the introductory bread basket and the dessert. I was among a part of 6 and none of the food looked very appealing. Someone ordered the chicken fingers and they looked like they were prepared from frozen chicken (major no-no in my book). The diner is located quite a distance from the city, so for me, it's not worth a trip to return. Would I consider coming back for breakfast? Possibly. The wait staff are very cool, and we had good service at our table. You get the feeling that this is a popular Diner with lots of happy, return customers. As for me, I won't be returning for dinner, but there is a slight chance I may try them again for breakfast. Who knows...

  • Marney K.

OK, it's a diner. Overpriced, greasy food is what you should expect. And that is what it is. My son loves the pancakes, so we come here often. I don't love the food, but it isn't terrible. I do find the breakfast prices rather high, but I know what I am getting into when I come. Ask to be seated in VICKI's section, and tell her Marney sent you. She is AWESOME and INVENTIVE (and a very sweet person!) Don't set your expectations too high, and you will be OK. :)

    (3)
  • Melissa W.

Lousy. How do you screw up breakfast? Toast was the best thing on the plate. Bacon had little meat and wasn't cooked. Just a mass of fat. Yuck! Cheesy way of serving tea. Don't even give you a hoddle, just a cup of hot water. Service was abrupt and we felt rushed. Lived in HV for 17 years and never tried this place. Wouldn't have even considered it for anything other than breakfast. First and last time we'll eat there. Pricey, too.

They have huge portions. Service has been good never a wait when we go there. Breakfast will make you feel like a cow when you are done.

Traditional diner fare here in the heart of Timonium Maryland. I have grown to love this place. The staff is family so it is friendly and loyal. I always get good value for my money. Portions are large and I have had few problems and I eat there several times a week. Sure sometimes things go wrong, but they fix them without issue. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night eating. Some real characters come through there. Sometimes it gets loud but on a weekend you would expect that. They do serve cocktails. Just a good old diner. Like any good diner they have a massive desert display right when you walk in the door.

  • Cathy D.

Worst breakfast ever! I ordered the eggs florentine and it was awful! The home fries was stale and the hollandaise sauce was bland. It was not flavorful and pricey! I will not go there again and will not recommend this place.

  • Allison L.

This place was acceptable for diner food. There were a ton of people waiting around when we got there so I figured out wait would be pretty long, but we were seated within 2 minutes, so don't let what looks like a long wait deter you. I got the pancakes and sausage, and literally, less than 5 minutes later they were delivered to the table. Pancakes were ok... one was pretty burnt so it would have been better if I could have actually eaten that one. Syrup was in the little plastic, individual size containers which I find offputting but it was still fine. Cheap, quick, good for breakfast... just don't come with really high expectations.

I'll preface this review with: It's been a while since I've gone to the diner, but that's because my experiences were so gross I will never go back. My first time here: I ordered french onion soup once and there were black burnt pieces (of what I'm not sure) floating on top the soup. No onions. Second time I was outnumbered by family who swore the food was good: I ordered the "stir fry" because I wanted a healthy option and there were several strands of hair in my food. How does more than one strand end up in the food? In different spots....I can't comment on the quality of the food since I was no longer hungry once I found the hair. Third time: I went to Towson Diner instead and found myself happy and full!

    (1)
  • Rebecca G.

Good for a late meal, but breakfast food is not as solid as Towson Diner. Fried foods were tasty and served hot, service was prompt and friendly, and atmosphere was a little less drunken than Towson Diner would be on the same evening. Parking lot is also convenient.

This diner is in a lot by itself on northbound Route 45, a road so busy that it may at times take a while to make a left turn. I was there for a geocaching event over the new year weekend. While I thought the server was nice, service took ages. This could've been because we were in a group so if I ever go back there by myself, I'll see if it is any better. I had the gyro with fried onions. I got four slabs of meat on a pita bread with a small side of coleslaw. It wasn't undercooked or defective but I thought the taste and presentation was lackluster. I've certainly had better back when I lived in the NYC area so I may be biased here.

The waitress was nice and efficient. The food was very average.

I don't know what other reviewers did to piss off the servers, but the wait staff at the Nautilus diner has always been very nice to me and my friends. Some of the busboys forget to refill waters, but I don't see any scowling from anyone. Anyway, I'm only deducting a star because they upped the price of my favvorite dish by 2 bucks. If you like Greek food, definitely check this diner out. Their chicken souvlacki and Greek panini are heavenly, and I like to pair the latter with tasty sweet potato fries. I wouldn't come here for breakfast, as the one time I did my omelet was kind of boring. But all their dinner dishes I've had have been amazing! A much better alternative to the Towson Diner.

I found this place while driving around the North side of Baltimore. Its the new style diner, big and shiny. The menu was lager and covered all types of foods. I ordered the Greek Moussaka, it was huge and home made. The only problem was it was cold in the middle! My wife ordered a sandwich which was very good and came with a pile of fries. will come back again even though my food was cold in the middle! Remember to eat well and live well! And please no chains!

This diner is open 24 hours. They have a very large selection of food, that seemed somewhat pricey. I stopped by at an odd hour. The staff was friendly, but their service was a little slow. I ordered the fried shimp basket, which came with fries. The shrimp was fried a little too long, making it dark brown. The fries were a perfect MCD golden yellow with a slight crunch. Overall, the dish wasn't too greasy. It came with plenty of cocktail sauce too.

Nautilus Diner ROCKS!! Despite always being crowded, waits are seldom long (except weekend breakfast) and staff has always been polite, quick, and polished. Food is great! Stick with Greek food, and you'll never be sad! Greek salads and gyros are my favorite. Fried seafood is TOP NOTCH! Fried scallops were unbelievably good- you get such a pile it defies belief, and all are sweet, tender, and crisply fried. UNBELIEVABLY GOOD!! You can get a mighty stiff martini here, too. Menu is HUGE!!!! Like 10 pages or something.... The only reason this is not 5 stars.....is the Burger. It's a mystery. Every diner should have a good burger. A diner that can do awesome scallops and gyros and such can't do a burger! It's a gristly frozen patty, really quite nasty. I don't understand that one bit. I would have to say that if that burger was my first meal here, I'd be giving it a 1 star and never come back. I believe the menu is just too large, and the kitchen focuses on what it likes to cook, and if you leave that zone, you're going to get frozen schlock. Esp. from the other reviews I see here. It should be a Greek and Seafood restaurant only, with basic breakfast fare since it's a diner. That said- it should really work on it's burgers!! The pancakes are just mediocre, too. Fine- but no different than a Denny's and such. All and all- go Greek or seafood, and you'll leave happy. Drink a martini or two, and as long as you ain't driving, you'll leave even happier!!!

Good breakfast, but from experience with other meals, especially a terrible moussaka would stick to the breakfast menu. Good homefries and omelette was tasty. Waitress forgot my side of bacon, and was not to be seen agerDecent cup of coffee. Desserts in display are quite colorful and tasty looking with quite a few novel offerings.

Came here for lunch. It was a good overall experience. Staff was friendly and professional. The food was ok, it is good quantity for price...I ordered the London Broil, was not what I expected or received elsewhere but not bad. I will go back and next time order breakfast.

Bright, clean pleasant place with very professional and efficient staff. Service and food delivery were both quick. The menu is huge, as this is one of those "diners"with full bar, steaks, chops, Italian food etc., along with the sandwiches and standard breakfast fare. We were there late at night and opted for non-breakfast items. I suspect breakfast would be top notch but I was disappointed with the food we had. French Onion soup had the cheese nicely browned as I had requested, but was extremely salty and had almost no onions visible in the broth. My girlfriend's chicken tenders and onion rings appeared to be one of those pre-made straight-from-freezer-to fryer deals and were a bit overcooked. My BLT had rounded chunks of iceberg instead of flat leaves, and the bacon was nearly cold,in addition to being a bit limp rather than crisp. Tomatoes were okay, but apart form that and the wheat toast, it was one of the least appealing BLT's I've ever had. The ingredients were all there, but it was just slapped on a plate with no real care (so it seemed.) As I said service was very good, it's a nice clean place and a huge menu... I will revisit there for breakfast when in the area but can't recommend it for a late night meal of other food.

Average Greek diner with a giant menu featuring All-American classics like burgers and meatloaf to a few Greek specialties like falafel and regional fare like Maryland crab cakes. Decent food at moderate prices. Open late, and incredibly friendly staff and service. Stopped by on a particularly chilly snowy night en route to Pennsylvania from Baltimore and was pretty happy for some warm comfort food.

we passed this place everyday for a week before stopping in, and after having terrible food this place was a god send. we had breakfast, which was pretty good. the raisin challah bread french toast was great. eggs perfectly cooked. service was great, we left full and for the amount of $ it was well worth it.

I had the worst meal I have ever had. I agree with Michelle H in her review. I ordered the meat loaf. The three slices of meat loaf were thrown on the plate with a disgusting sea of gravy on top. The taste was bland with literally no flavor. It came with mixed vegetables, cold, and what tasted like day old french fries. The salad was acceptable, but the dinner rolls were stale. I had no problem with the waiter who was doing his job, but when I left my seat to get money for the rest of the tip, the busboy cleared my place and took the little bit of money. It was obvious I had not left as my jacket and keys were still on the table. Most of the folks who work there are sullen and never crack a smile. And while I was waiting in the long line to pay, two or three waitresses barged in the line to ask the sullen manager a question. I liked this place a year ago, but what has happened to it. I would recommend going to Ashland Cafe for better food, that is appetizing and has a presentation that is presentable.

Expensive deserts that are not very good. Worst napoleons that I ever had. One more example of one thing that Greece is very good at exporting: bad diners.

Not a bad diner. We had breakfast and that's pretty hard to screw up anyway. The food was good, the service so-so. I'd stop back in if I were in the area.

Food is sub par. Way too much on the menu to cook everything properly. The poorly painted murals are distracting and the service is poor. I've been here three times now and nothing I've had has been better than "meh." The vegetable option, for example, was nothing more than bagged mixed veggie mix that can be bought at any grocery store. They need to focus on doing a small number of dishes extremely well instead of hundreds of dishes poorly

I've enjoyed every meal I've had here. The servers are always friendly and the food is great. My favorite is the open-faced reuben, which is my comfort food. For breakfast, try the strawberry pancakes. They are awesome! They don't use that goopy pie filling. They actually slice strawberries right in to the batter and it is delicious. I'm moving to the other side of town soon but you can be sure I'll still be heading north for those pancakes. Double T just doesn't compare!

I always seem to end up at the Nautilus after a night out, which is great because they're open 24/7 and serve breakfast all the time! They have a pretty big dining room, so I've never had to wait for a table. And the service has always been very good. The breakfast choices are my favorites, but the menu is huge, so there is so much more to choose from! Gotta love a good diner menu!

The diner is open 24 hours which is a plus. The food is good and the service is great. The drinks are also good. Their prices are reasonable as well.

Service is great and the food is always great. I come here to write my screenplay and they couldn't be more accommodating.

I've only been here several times for Sunday brunch (the time of day, not a special menu), so I can't say how this place would be in the wee hours. Judging by the size though, I'm sure it can handle the crowds fairly well. Classic diner fare on the menu, and I've never gotten a bad dish. The desserts tempt your from their display case as you walk in, and while I haven't indulged, I can't imagine their taste betrays their presentation. This place is open 24 hours as well. It's not my first choice in the area, as I generally find myself unable to drive late at night, but if you can get here, you'll like it.

Great place to eat. Especially late night. As others have said the menu is huge and I never had a bad meal there. The burgers are really good and big and the breakfasts are what you want a diner breakfast to be.. It could be a little pricey if you're expecting did cheap diner food.

Been here for breakfast a few times and have had surprisingly good experiences considering the packed dining room. Service has been quick and my pancakes & Eggs Benedict were great. Would certainly recommend this place for breakfast.

We end up at Nautilus from time to time for breakfast or lunch. The food is average and adequate, but it is expensive for what it is.

Usually when the portions are this big, there's a trade-off on food quality ... not the case here. There's a reason this place is crowded every time I come in here. The only diner I like coming back to.

Cheap and an incredible amount of food. No matter what you order, you never leave hungry. My favorite order is the gyro personally, but they have many good choices. The service is very good, and the food always comes quickly. Its not exactly the highest class food, but your always satisfied at the end of your meal, and your wallet will be just as full as you are.

Get the corn muffin. Toasted. With jam. And the waffle fries. Some cake, too. And anything else on the prodigious menu. But especially the corn muffin. I wish I had a corn muffin right now.

Went here one even after a highly disappointing dinner at a meeting we had to attend. Our waiter was nice and attentive, the food was decent. We started off with the potato skins with cheddar and broccoli. They were full of the yummy broccoli chedar, but the potato could have stood to be a little crispier. I'm a vegetarian so I got the veggie cheeseburger. I loved that they put a slice of cheese on each side of the bun so that it was cheesy with every bite. It came with fries, coleslaw, and a pickle. The coleslaw was tasty and fries were warm and crispy. My boyfriend got the meatloaf, he thought it was okay, definitely not the best he's had. The meatloaf came with a soup or salad, a potato and a vegetable. He got the chicken and rice soup (that was more like just rice, not very soup like), the mashed potatoes (which he didn't care for) and the broccoli (which looked over cooked. heck, it was shinny.) So over all, standard diner food. It was great for a late night meal, but there are better options in the area for dinning at an earlier time.

My wife and I visited this restaurant after seeing some favorable reviews on Chowhound.com . We were very happy that we did. I had the french toast (huge slices of challah) with a side of scrapple. Although I wasn't very pleased with the scrapple (as it appeared to have been cooked long before I ordered it), the french toast was great. My wife had the pancakes and was very pleased with her selection as well. We're definitely planning on visiting again when we return to the area.

My husband and I tried the Nautilus Diner on a visit to the Baltimore area this past weekend. Any place that has a large parking lot filled to capacity must be good, right? NOT. It was the second worst meal I have ever had in my life. Our waitress made it clear she did not want to be working that day. The food was horrible. I have never sent food back to a kitchen, but I did that day. This is also the first time I have ever posted a negative restaurant view on any website. Please, don't put any more money into the owners' pockets. They do not deserve your patronage.
